My name is Jennifer Snyder and I own the website www.findyourtribeonline.com
Your use of Find Your Tribe has been brought to our attention because it is confusingly similar to my course Find Your Tribe Online (http://findyourtribeonline.com/) and being used in connection with similar services.
I am writing today to ask that you stop using the mark Find Your Tribe and promptly take down the Find Your Tribe language on this sales page: https://cathyheller.lpages.co/findyournichechallenge/
as well as any emails or advertising for this course by Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
I realize this may come as a surprise to you, so I wanted to reach out informally to resolve this amicably between the two of us.
I appreciate your time and attention in dealing with this time sensitive matter.
Please let me know that you plan on complying with this request.
The video file for our Q&A crashed during this call. I have written a transcript of what we talked about in the call below!
The Society Q&A notes
Abbi shared how her lunch is going and how stressful it is to have an open and closed cart. We discussed breaking up her course into individual modules and then selling them as a bundle. One of the reasons we talked about this is because people are more trending towards spending less money on courses. They aren’t as willing to spend the big bucks on courses anymore. Partly this is because they’ve been let down by spending big dollars and not getting the results. So through no fault of our own and they aren’t spending the money because they’ve been let down by other courses and are nervous about spending big money. The other reason we discuss that people might be more interested in smaller modules is because we suffer from information overload. It’s hard to digest a huge course and breaking up into smaller modules will help with that thought.
We also discussed Facebook ads. We talked about good resources for Facebook ads and those will be listed in the notes below. We also talked about doing Facebook ads for Black Friday. Somebody asked is it a good idea to do it and if I have I ever done it. I suggest with Facebook ads you may have to be ready to spend money and be comfortable with it going away. You really have to be educated with Facebook ads before you see a lot of success from them. It’s like walking into a casino, you have to be able to lose 20 bucks and not care. Facebook is the same way. You need to be comfortable that you’re going to lose money up front. But the best thing you can do for Facebook ads to get educated and test things out to see what works.
We discussed Pinterest. Barb had a question about uploading a Pinterest image from her desktop and when she uploaded it showed a gray square. But when she went to look at on her mobile that image showed up just fine. Renee suggested that it’s an issue between the cache between her computer and Pinterest. I also mentioned what I am doing a lot with Pinterest is creating an image and then uploading it to see how it looks on my mobile phone. I’m uploading the pin to a secret board and then look at it on my mobile phone to see what it looks like. We also discussed that next month we are going to be doing a Pinterest Challenge. It’s going to be the basics and getting ourselves ready to get more traffic from Pinterest .
We talked about the difference between PostPlanner and Co-Schedule. I like PostPlanner for a few reasons. I can pull in other people’s content and use their RSS feeds to share their content. I also like it because post planner has ready-made content that is proven to be viral and I can easily share that if I’m running out of ideas to share on my social networking sites. I also like it because I can loop my blog posts if I want to. And honestly one of the reasons I love it is because they gave it to me for free for promoting it within the group. It was mentioned that Co-Schedule has recently come out with a new price where it’s geared towards people like us with that lower price point. And Renee made some really good points about Co-Schedule being more of a workflow and working with you with your WordPress blog posts. So from that aspect it could be really useful for bloggers too.
